I started this website to bring common sense information to non-industry folks who find selecting a bottle of wine in the grocery or wine shop aisle very intimidating.  I hold the WSET Diploma in Wine (DipWSET) and am a Certified Sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers, both London based organizations. I am also certified as a French Wine Scholar (FWS) and a Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW).

I am an experienced Wine Judge serving both Commercial and Amateur wine competitions. I work with several worldwide fraternal wine organizations as their Cellar Master (curating wines for their cellars) and as their Executive Sommelier (providing wine and food pairings for group events, educational seminars, and contributing articles for their magazines).

I’m passionate about cooking, trying new dishes, finding amazing wines, and sharing producer stories and profiles. While critic’s scores are useful in culling through the world of wines to buy, I believe you need to have an understanding of the wine’s ‘style’ to see if it will please your palate or pair with your dinner entrees. .
